Canadian Open

Spring Break and our Spring Training Camp in Spain were followed by the Canadian Open in Edmonton.

Killarney was represented by seven swimmers: Matea Gigovic, Sophie Holowaychuk, Megan L’Heureux, Nicole L’Heureux, Alan Piatek, and Sophia Shpak.

For some of our swimmers, this was their first experience with the “Ready Room” and their first opportunity to race in an open age group at a national-level competition. Matea, Sophie, Alan, and Sophia all earned second swims, with both Sophia and Matea advancing to A Finals.

Matea capped off the weekend with two silver medals in the 50 and 100 Fly.
