Junior Coach of the Year and ID Team!

Congratulations to Coach Alex Dawson, who was named Junior Coach of the Year at the Canadian Swim Coaches Conference!

Alex’s accomplishments as a coach this year were highlighted by the outstanding performances of his swimmer and son, Oliver Dawson. Oliver won Silver in the 200m Breaststroke at the Commonwealth Games and Bronze in the Mixed Medley Relay at the Pan Pacific Championships.

At the 2026 Canadian Swimming Trials, Oliver swept all three breaststroke events, winning the 50m, 100m, and 200m Breaststroke. He also holds the Canadian Records in all three men’s breaststroke events.

Congratulations, Alex, on being named Junior Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year!

Congratulations to Our SNC Carding & ID Team Athletes!

We would also like to congratulate our Killarney swimmers who were named to the Swimming Canada Carding and ID Team!

Congratulations to Oliver Dawson, Matea Gigovic, Sophie Holowaychuk, Alan Piatek, Layla Rella, Sophia Shpak, and Eren Oz on this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of each of you and the hard work and dedication that has led to this national recognition.

Adding to these accomplishments, Alan Piatek, Sophie Holowaychuk, and Layla Rella have also been selected to attend the Swimming Canada Relay Camp in December, following OJI!
