SNC Canadian Trials 🇨🇦

Killarney was proudly represented by eight swimmers at the 2026 SNC Canadian Swimming Trials in Montreal: Matea Gigovic, Sophie Holowaychuk, Megan L'Heureux, Alan Piatek, Grace Rowe, Maya Share, Sophia Shpak, and Matthew Thompson.💚🖤

Our swimmers delivered an outstanding week of racing, achieving 27 personal best times, breaking 13 club records, and setting two new provincial records.

Six Killarney swimmers earned second swims by qualifying finals.

Matea Gigovic competed in the Senior A Finals in both the 50 m and 100 m Butterfly, capturing Senior Silver and Junior Gold in the 50 Butterfly, along with Senior Bronze and Junior Gold in the 100 Butterfly. She also qualified for the Junior A Finals in both the 50 m and 100 m Freestyle. 🥉🥇🥈🥇

Alan Piatek qualified for the Junior A Finals in the 50 m Backstroke, 50 m Butterfly, and 100 m Butterfly. He earned Junior Bronze in the 50 Backstroke and Junior Gold in the 50 Butterfly.🥉🥇

With the meet streamed live on CBC Gem, the entire Killarney community was able to cheer on our athletes from across the country.

The SNC Canadian Trials also served as the selection meet for Team Canada at the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships. Congratulations to Matea Gigovic on earning selection to represent Team Canada!🇨🇦
